Shop/Tools 2

More goodies have arrived since the original setup.  Without a doubt, the coolest tool I own is the 214C pneumatic squeezer.  I got it at Planetools.com for $265, and it was worth every penny.

Another neat tool that I received for x-mas was the digital angle finder.  It will be useful for setting control surface angles, and it is extremely accurate (to 0.1 deg).

A flaring tool is required when you get to the wings, and I picked up this "Rolo-Flaire" model at ATS for $70.

Due to increased demands, I also had to add another rivet bin to the shop.

As with any good workshop, I went ahead and added a computer and refrigerator.  The wireless high speed internet is really nice for looking up other people's websites if questions arise.

10/30/04 - A couple updates to the shop...I decided it would be much easier to deal with the air hoses if I "plumbed" the bench.  I added two outlets to each end so that I just run the compressor hose to one end (and have multiple outlets).

A couple of new tools were also added to the shop.  I got a metal cutting bandsaw from Harbor Freight.  It works great!  I previously used a Ryobi (wood) bandsaw with a metal cutting blade, but it did not work too well and constantly went through blades.  I highly recommend the HF unit.

In preparation of the fuselage, I went ahead and picked up a used angle drill off of ebay.  It should work much better than the angle attachment, and it was cheaper to boot.
