Both wing assemblies done (less bottom skins), finishing up ailerons.

Background
This website is intended to chronicle the building of my RV7A experimental airplane. It will be very spartan, as I intend to focus my efforts on building (not website design). Below is a picture of what the completed airplane should look like:

I chose the RV for many reasons:
75 mph faster than my old cherokee
Wide speed envelope
All-aluminum construction (no itchy glass)
Resale value
Insurance costs
I looked very hard at both the 8 and 7. I was lucky enough to go for a test ride in an 8A, and I did not particularly like talking to the back of someone's head. I also felt that the baggage area is bigger on the 7, and I might be able to fit bulkier items in it.
